Types of Romanian Visas
Visas to Romania are classified into four categories:
The Romania Airport Transit Visa (A Type) permits the holder to access the international section of a Romanian airport to await a connecting flight to another destination.
The Romania Transit Visa (B Type) allows the holder to transit through Romania for a maximum of 5 days when traveling to another country.
The Romania Short Stay Visa (C Type) allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 90 days in six months. For the following reasons, a Romania Short Stay Visa is issued:
- Private tourism visit
- Participating in sports as a business
- Participating in educational, scientific, or cultural events
- The mission of the government
- Transportation
The Romania Long Stay Visa (D Type) permits the bearer to enter Romania and apply for permission to stay for more than 90 days (a Romanian residence permit). As a result, the visa is only good for 90 days, but if you get a resident card, you can stay in the nation indefinitely for work, study, or family reunification, among other reasons.
