United States of America Non-Immigrant Visa Fees in Nigeria
USA Visitor Visa Application Fee – All U.S. Visa applicants, including children, must pay a visa application fee before applying for a non-immigrant visa to the U.S.This visa fee also known as MRV fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. In other words, the visa application fee must be paid whether a visa is issued to you or not. And it cannot be transferred from one person to another. Furthermore, the type of visa you are applying for will determine the fee amount. In this article, we are going to list out the visa application fees associated with each non-immigrant visa type available to U.S.applicants in Nigeria. When we stay “non-immigrant visa type” we mean visas that are issued to people who wish to stay in the United States for a stipulated period of time to accomplish specific purposes. Examples are business people, students, tourists or specialty workers.
So how much is U.S.non-immigrant visa fees in Nigeria? Depending on the visa type that you are applying for, you will pay either $160, $190,$205, $240,or $265 at any Guaranty Trust Bank branch in Nigeria. Instructions/Restrictions
- Your visa application fee is non-refundable.
- Your visa application fee is not transferable.
- You will be issued a receipt after paying the visa application fee of your choice.
- You will bring this receipt to your visa interview appointment.
- The receipt is valid for only one year from the date of payment and allows you to schedule your interview at the U.S.
- Embassy/Consulate General within one year of paying your fee.
- If your visa application is rejected, you must pay the fee again to apply for a visa.

You are not required to pay any visa fees if you are applying for any of these types of visa mentioned in the table below:

Other Conditions with No Visa Fee Required are:
- The replacement of the visa if the original visa was not properly affixed or the visa had errors and needed to be reissued by no fault of the visa applicant.
- Visa applicants who are exempted by international agreement. This includes members and staff (and their immediate families)of an observer mission to United Nations Headquarters recognized by the United Nations General Assembly.
- Visa applicants traveling to provide specific charitable services.
- United States Government employees traveling on official business.
- The parents, siblings, spouse or children of a United States Government employee killed or critically injured in the line of duty who is traveling to attend the employee’s treatment, funeral or burial in the United States.

Sir, even though my friend who is a host and a US citizen has promised to finance my trip…Please should I indicate in the Application that the host will be responsible for my trip expenses or I should Indicate ”SELF” i.e I will personally be responsible for the trip finances. ok let me break it down I have a fiance in usa she wants me to come over and stay with her at least for a very long time and I don’t have any intentions of coming back so soon and she’s the one in charge of all the expenses so which visa do you think I should apply for like I said before I’m not coming back so soon I will be there for a very long time and at the look of things I will even get married to her so please guide me on this I’ll be so grateful
