A Schengen tourist or visiting visa is a visa issued by the authority of one of the 26 members of the Schengen countries for those who are interested in a short visit to the Schengen area.

The Schengen is an area consisting of 26 European countries, which has agreed to a free entry into any of the member country, without the need for a passport or visa at their mutual borders.

Therefore, getting a Schengen visa while traveling to any member country is an easy way of traveling to other member country, without the need for additional visa application.

The member countries comprises of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, German, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lichen, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, therefore, if you wish to travel to any of these country, getting a Schengen visa will give you an unrestricted entry to any of the above country, and the Schengen visa can be obtained from the embassy of any participating member country.

A cover letter for your visa application is an additional document, which explains your visiting purpose, planned itinerary, and any other important information that are considered useful for the Embassy to grant your visa request.

Your cover letter should be written in a clear and concise manner, do not use languages that may be hard for the embassy to understand, make your cover letter as easy to understand as possible.

Also, be sure to list every including supporting document,  supporting documents are required to clarify your claims, they may include your passport copies and sponsor details, it is important to list every supporting document included, this will make it easier for the embassy to reference.

Be sure to state the purpose of your visit to a Schengen area, including a well structured itinerary, what your plans are, where you will be visiting and how long you will be staying at a Schengen area.

You must state the purpose of your visit in a clear and genuine manner, this will increase the chance of getting your visa application approved.

One of the reason a visa application is rejected is the fear that the applicant may use the opportunity to make the Schengen area their permanent residence, thereby defaulting the terms of visa agreement, to avoid your visa application getting rejected as a result of this, state a very good reason why you are sure that you will not be exceeding your stay in the Schengen area after your visa expiration, this is a convicting statement, to assure the issuing embassy that you are not going to be exceeding your approved duration in the Schengen area, it may include your business back at home or dependents.

If you will be traveling with a minor or dependent, you must be sure to certify that you or you sponsor will be able to take care of the dependent during your stay in the Schengen area, and if you are traveling with a minor, be sure to certify that the legal parents of the minor are in approval (include a letter of consent if you had one), and that resources are available to cater to the needs of the minor, this include medical needs.

You must also assure the issuing embassy that adequate preparations has been done to ensure a successful trip, these include accommodation and feeding preparation, if you are sponsored by an organization, include a supporting letter from the organization.

In addition, the cover letter is the right place to include your travel history, if you include your travel history, it will further convince the issuing embassy that you are prepare for the trip, seeing that this is not your first journey.

Other information that may be included are your employment information, schooling information, dependents, or family members staying back at home.

Your cover letter must be as simple and short as possible while taking care not to omit important information.

Planned itinerary

I shall be arriving at Paris Orly Airport by 12:pm on 29th of May 2021, and shall take a bus to my uncle’s residence at 142 rue La Boéte, Paris, I shall spend the day with him and shall use the 30th of May to take a tour of France, I planned to visit places, such as the Eiffel tower and Musée du Louvre, thereafter, I shall return to my uncle apartment, and then return to the US on the 1st of June, 2021, in order to be able to prepare adequately for my graduation.

I shall not be staying longer than indicated, as I need to return early to have enough time to prepare for my graduation.

I shall be visiting France, Italy, and Belgium from the 20th of April to the 24th of April, 2021, for work vacation and I shall love to apply for a Schengen visa.

 

I am taking the quarterly vacation leave sponsored by my company, and I shall be visiting places such as Marseilles, Rome, Paris, and Burges. Visit some famous food restaurants and learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the people.

I worked at Renard’s Media, Toronto, Canada. as the HR consultant since 2016, and the quarterly vacation is part of our incentives, having spent 5 years with the company.

A copy of the leave of approval from my company is attached to this application, including round trip information, and Estimated budget and allowances.

Detailed Itinerary

Upon my arrival on the 20th of April, 2021, I shall lodge at Camping Houtum, then on the 21st to the 23rd, I shall take a tour of France, where I shall be visiting the Palace of Versailles and Mont Saint-Michel, I shall also be visiting Italy, where I shall have an opportunity to visit the Colosseum at Rome, and the Grand Canal in Venice.

On the 24th of April, I shall return to Canada by 5:00 AM

I shall not be exceeding my stay, since I need to return to my duty, as contained in the supporting letter from my company.
