Job Application Writing Contest

At travelvisa.ng, we believe that hard work and commitment to learning is the key to excellence. Therefore, in order to make the learning process a little easier, we are glad to offer a yearly scholarship of $500 (each) to 3 students in pursuit of their education and dreams.

How to Enter the Contest

To participate in this scholarship program, you will write and submit a 600+ words “job application letter” to an imaginary employer of your dream job.

Scenario

You just found out that there is a vacancy in an organization for your dream career. Write a job application letter to show the employer that you are the best person for that position.

Notable Key Points

In this letter, you should:

Introduce yourself.
Mention the job position (or kind of job) you are applying or looking for.
Show that your experience and skills match the experience and skills needed to do the job.
Encourage the reader to read your resume.
Finish with a call to action (for example, asking for an interview or a meeting).

Dates to Remember

Entry must be submitted before every 31^st of December. The winning entries will be announced every 15^th of January. Essays submitted after the deadline will not take part in the contest.
